Introduction


The proposal relates to the provision of our Managed IT Support + Security service to LANX Group Ltd

The scope of the service is to provide reactive remote IT Support for all computers (endpoints) within the LANX infrastructure as well as printers. The service includes BitDefender Endpoint Security, which will be installed on each computer at the commencement of an agreement.

Technology Roadmap


Working with the in house team, we would propose the creation of a roadmap relating to IT infrastructure and specifically Cyber Security. This roadmap would include looking at all existing system dependencies to understand both how and where the data is hosted, what levels of encryption are in place and if any additional measures are required to bolster the standard vendor backup and recovery solutions. It is proposed that The Operations Hub would work with Dan to find and document this information and at the same time we will provide recommendations around network infrastructure and security for a 12 month period. 

Cyber Security


As discussed with Dan I would recommend the creation of a Cyber Security and Information Security policy as a first step towards establishing an action plan for LANX relating to establishing Cyber Security controls. The Operations Hub will create a basic policy, working with LANX internal team to adapt to the business.

In addition to physical security measures such as Firewalls, Antivirus software and locking down access to computers, it is also necessary to consider user awareness relating to security threats as well as how updates to operating system software. applications and firmware for all network attached devices. 

I would recommend considering working towards gaining Cyber Essentials certification as a step within a 12 month period as a good baseline for LANX.

Firewall


As part of our Managed IT Support + Security service, The Operations Hub will provide a managed security appliance which will be installed at the Whalley site. There is no specific charge for this and it will remain in place for the duration of the agreement. This device allows us to implement perimeter protection for the internal network as well as enhanced security controls in comparison to off the shelf firewall/router products.
